Truly Spiritual

Many Christians get religious beliefs and church attendance mixed up with being Spiritual. Our spiritual identity - so to speak - is being close to God and how closely we relate to the person of JESUS (God manifest as one of us) no plus to that or minus.

It's Jesus, Not Religion

Jesus is Life, not religion I don’t know

how people got the two mixed up

Jesus invited us to feast and sup….

Life Abundant and to be on the way up.

To rejoice that He’s Coming day by day

and to live afresh in His Life giving Way

Not have to say often “Lord give me a break”

So to live truly for Jesus’ sake is to say

at night blessed memories He makes.

“Life’s what you make it” that’s what they say

Explore this Life, a bright new way__

when He’s in your days you can sing like a lark

but that’s not only to play a harp.

Life’s an adventure, that is true

not religious__ yes sing a new tune.

If Jesus does not improve your day__

Then where’s His Promise

“A New Living Way?”

That’s not religious but one that’s real

the one with His Blessing wears His Seal.

A Glorious Fast

Oh what a fast, a glorious fast

from earthly chores and religious laws

I invite you to spend a day this way

You'll find it makes such a difference.

From the cares of the world

and the cares of the church

that's partly in bondage like the world.

A walk with God is not a religious exercise

but one that's meant to be a blessing.

The one I can Trust

To the one who adores

I truly give more

For the one I can trust

does not lust for this world

and all the things it affords…

But rather give thanks

when I stretch out My Hand

and make them blessed in the land.

Whom are you seeking

to whom are you tweaking

Is it I Who poured out My Grace?

I send you Love on the wings of a Dove

open your eyes and see My Face.

Allowed to be Jovial

One can feel Jovial

when Jesus' Presence is near

He desires you not to be sombre

but to fill your heart with Cheer.

His Sacrifice was to make a Way

to bring Heaven into your soul__

And do remember that He Rose Again

so He could make you Whole.
